What this covers
Spool converts audio in your browser. STAYPOSITIVENW LLC, an Oregon company, operates it. This policy covers the site at spool-convert.grok.me and the Android app, when that app is on Google Play.
Your files
The audio and video you choose are converted on your device. They are not uploaded to us. We do not receive the contents of those files, and we do not keep a copy.
What stays on your device
Spool saves two things in this browser only: the names and sizes of recent conversions, not the audio itself, and whether a pass or ownership is active on this device. There is no Spool account. Clearing the site data removes both.
Ads
Free conversions show sponsored screens that Spool itself displays. Those screens are not served by an outside ad network, and they are not used to build an advertising profile. If that changes, this policy will say so before a third-party ad network is turned on.
Payments
This website does not take card payments. When the Android app is on Google Play, Google processes the purchase. We do not receive your card number. Google’s own privacy policy covers that payment.
Other services the page loads
The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so opening Spool sends your IP address to Google for that request. The site is published through Grok, which may load its own branding on the page. We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and Spool is not directed at them.
